“What You’ll Experience Over 8 Weeks at Camp ACTAWANNA”

Welcome to Camp ACTAWANNA, Cultural Park Theatre’s adults-only summer camp where the wine is poured, the drama is on purpose, and the nostalgia is real.

Over 8 weeks, On Wednesday’s starting June 17th -August 5th  7–9 pm, you’ll:

• Play with theatre in a low-pressure, welcoming environment
• Enjoy wine, beverages, and snacks while you explore the magic of the stage
• Get insider access to costumes, makeup, lights, sound, and backstage secrets
• Connect with other adults who love to laugh, tell stories, and try something new

Each week has a different theme, blending summer camp fun with theatre experiences designed for grown-ups!

“Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton’s challenge is twofold — not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!”

CPT SUMMER CAMP 2026: Annie Jr. June 22nd-July 4th (ages 7-15)

Camp Details:

• Camp Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Before and After Care: Available from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• What to Bring: Kids should bring a lunch, wear closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle every day.

Throughout the two weeks, campers will dive into the world of theatre with activities like dancing, singing, acting, memorization, and much more. They’ll work together to prepare a full production, culminating in three thrilling performances!

Performance Schedule:

• Friday: 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM

Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she’s not “serious” enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents’ divorce. Now the new kid at school, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain… or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!?

This is an immersive, musical theater, drama elective designed for homeschooled students. In a fun, safe, supportive environment, we will combine acting, singing, theatre games, and movement, to enhance confidence, public speaking, social skills, theatre knowledge and collaboration through weekly rehearsals. Students work together with new and old friends to master scenes, choreography, and hone their creative talents. The session concludes with a high-energy, fully staged musical performance allowing students to apply their new skills in singing, dancing, and acting on stage, celebrating their creativity together while performing for family, friends, and the community.
